Wedding cancellations are painful


Many weddings in Singapore planned for this period are seeing cancellations as couples go as far as even “tabao”-ing their whole wedding dinner, doing their part in practicing social distancing. 


On the side of the most affected are the bridal hairdressers who have seen a sharp decline in the volume of their work as photoshoots and weddings get postponed this season. 

On the brighter side of things, the wedding of a Malaysian couple has garnered much praise for their ingenious idea of a “drive-thru” wedding, showing us how a little bit of imagination can solve big problems. The fall in tourism hotel bookings also mean that couples are taking advantage of the many staycation deals popping up islandwide and isolating themselves over the weekend.
